CJB Wraps Up Florida Tour

HOT TO TROT: Marks and CJB Complete Five Nights in Florida
Outlaw southeastern swing is canceled due to cold and precipitation

CARLISLE, PA. - February 9, 2021 - CJB Motorsports continued their fun in the sun with five nights of action in Florida this past week.

On Tuesday, February 2nd, the team competed with the Ollies Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions at East Bay Raceway Park near Tampa, Fl. Marks timed in 5th, finished 4th in his heat race and 9th in the feature.

From there, two more nights of All Star action took place at Volusia Speedway Park near Barberville, Fl. On night one (February 3rd), Marks timed in 2nd in his group, finished 4th in his heat race, 3rd in the dash and 5th in the feature. The following night, Marks timed in quickest in his group, finished 3rd in his heat race and 5th in the dash. A 12th place finish in the A-main rounded out the All Star competition.

The final two nights of Florida action was contested under the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series banner. On Friday, February 5th, Marks timed in 20th, finished 2nd in his heat race, 5th in the dash and 8th in the feature.

Race canceled the scheduled event on Saturday, February 6th. The closing event on Sunday, February 7th, saw the team time in 5th before finishing 3rd in the heat race and 16th in the feature.

"I felt like we had some speed all week," said Marks, pilot of the #5 M&M Painting and Construction,BAPS Paints,Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel,R.E. Pierson Construction Co., Wolfrun Landscapes, Nyce, Crete & Landis Block and Concrete, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Ecynbro Trucking machine. "There were times I made some mistakes so I need to clean some things up out on the race track. We made the dash three out of four nights in Volusia and had a top 10 car every night. Couple mistakes out on the track just bit us including the spin out in the finale.."

The team had planned to follow the Outlaw tour west as they were schedule to compete at Dixie Speedway near Woodstock, Ga. on Friday, February 12th and the Talladega (Ala.) Short Track on Saturday, February 13th. Those events have been canceled due to cold weather and precipitation.
