CJB LOOKS TO BEAT MOTHER NATURE: Doubleheader at Eldora on Tap Next
Event at Riverside canceled; Tr-State Speedway delayed until October 13th
CARLISLE, PA. - May, 7 2019 - In what has become an all too familiar story, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series lost battles with Mother Nature this past weekend.
A scheduled stop at Riverside International Speedway near West Memphis, AR on Friday, May 3rd was canceled due to rain. The series also had to delay their date at Tri-State Speedway near Haubstadt, IN from Sunday, May 5th to Sunday, October 13th. Also, it was announced that a partially completed show that was run at Jacksonville (IL) Speedway in April will be made up on Wednesday, September 25th.
"We've had a lot of rain this spring," said Shane Stewart, pilot of the #5 Killer Instinct Crossbows , Weikert's Livestock, Ecynbro Trucking, Nyce, Crete and Landis Block and Concrete, C&S Lawn & Landscape machine. "Everyone gets affected and we just carry on. Luckily some of the dates have been able to be rescheduled."
The CJB team and Stewart now look forward to a doubleheader at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, OH on Friday, May 10th and Saturday, May 11th. Both the team and Stewart have found success at the high-banked, half-mile oval. The team will also be bolstered by the return of crew chief Barry Jackson.
"I love Eldora!" Stewart said. "I haven't been great there lately because of how slick it bets but I am looking forward to getting there with Barry."
